The King and His Crown

They don't call him King James for no reason. LeBron James, in his sixth season, was crowned the MVP of the NBA after leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to the best record in the NBA (66-16), while becoming the league's second leading scorer (28.4 ppg). He received 109 of a possible 121 first-place votes and also started a career-high 81 games and set personal bests in field-goal (49) and free-throw (79) percentages as well as blocks (93).

Ms. Keri baby!!!

Life just keeps getting more and more interesting. My brother got the opportunity to interview Keri Hilson on air at 97.9 the Box yesterday, and he asked me to come along. Upon seeing her I was shocked, and as she spoke with a high confidence and her own blend of swagg, I was even more surprised and impressed. I was a fan before but after asking her a few questions and experiencing her beauty and intelligence, I became even more of a fanboy. She is a very talented singer/songwriter and an amazing person as well. Her debut album In a Perfect World... will be released March 24th, 2009 and I would recommend everybody check it out.

Modern Marvel: Dallas Cowboys Stadium

In one word, amazing. The new Dallas Cowboy's stadium is an architectural and structural innovation the likes of which have never been seen in NFL stadiums. This is Texas Stadium². The enormous structure seats approximately 80,000 but can be expandable to up to 100,000 for major events like Super Bowl XLV on February 6, 2011. It maintains the infamous hole in the roof but it also has two retractable 63,000-square foot panels, and when opened the entire playing field can be seen through the opening directly above. It will house a center-hung video board, 50 feet tall and 60 yards wide, weighing 600 tons that will hang 110-feet above the field from the distinct arches that run the entire length of the stadium. The stadium will be home to Super Bowl XLV, the 2009-2010 Big 12 Championship Game, the 2010 Cotton Bowl, the 2010 NBA All-Star Game, the 2014 NCAA Men's Final Four, and of course the Dallas Cowboys.

Right.Track: The-Dream -- Rockin' That Thang

The-Dream is back at it again. Rockin' That Thang, the second single off his sophomore album, is a solid hit and an instant classic. Bringing the familiar heavy drums, inexplicably catchy melodies, and the unmistakable falsetto, it's a true club banger and will surely to have people rockin' all over the world. The-Dream's upcoming album entitled Love vs. Money will be released on March 10, 2009.

New.Sound: KiD CuDi

The Cleveland, Ohio native is a standout new artist signed to Kanye West's record label G.O.O.D. Music. He has gained attention through his first single which bridges the gap between dance and urban, the inexplicably catchy and laid back "Day 'n' Nite" and worked with West on 808s & Heartbreak providing vocals and songwriting. With only a mixtape under his belt (A Kid Named Cudi) and one widely televised performance at MTV's 2008 VMAs, Kid Cudi is featured on the longlist for the BBC News website's Sound of 2009 poll of up-and-coming acts, and the Crooker's Remix to "Day 'n' Nite" has reached #2 on the UK Singles chart. His debut album Man on the Moon: The Guardians is scheduled for release in Spring 2009.
